EasyCC
For usersQuick start

Install EasyCC

Download and install the app on Windows or Mac.

EasyCC runs natively on Windows and Mac. The installer bundles everything you need — Claude Code included — so there's nothing else to set up.

IT admins deploying to a fleet: see Plan and deploy → Installation media for the installers and silent-install flags.

Download

Head to easycc.app/download. The page picks the right download for whichever computer you're on.

Linux isn't supported yet. EasyCC runs on Windows and Mac.

Windows

Run the installer

Double-click EasyCC-Full-Setup.exe. Windows may show a "publisher" warning the first time — that's normal for any new app. Click More info → Run anyway if you see it.

Confirm WebView2 is installed

EasyCC uses Microsoft's WebView2 to draw its window. It comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and 11. If the installer says you need it, accept the prompt — it's a one-time download from Microsoft.

Wait for install to finish

EasyCC installs to Program Files\EasyCC and adds a Start menu entry. The whole thing takes about 20 seconds.

Launch

Find EasyCC in the Start menu and open it. You'll land on the sign-in screen.

Mac

EasyCC needs macOS 13 (Ventura) or later.

Pick the right download

On the download page, choose the version that matches your Mac:

  • Mac with Apple silicon — the newer Macs (M1 and later).
  • Mac with Intel chip — older Intel Macs.

Not sure which you have? Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac to check the chip.

Pick the one that matches your Mac. The Intel download won't run on a Mac with Apple silicon.

Open the disk image

Double-click the .dmg file you downloaded. A window opens showing the EasyCC app icon and a shortcut to Applications.

Drag to Applications

Drag the EasyCC icon onto the Applications shortcut. macOS copies the app over.

Launch from Applications

Open Launchpad or your Applications folder, find EasyCC, and click it. The first time you launch, macOS may ask you to confirm — click Open.

Everything EasyCC needs is built into the app, so there's nothing else to install. The first time you use the built-in terminal, your Mac may offer to install Apple's command line tools — click Install if you see it.

On Macs with Apple silicon, macOS sometimes shows "EasyCC.app is damaged and can't be opened." If that happens, open Terminal and run xattr -cr /Applications/EasyCC.app, then launch again. This is a quirk in how macOS handles apps downloaded from outside the App Store.

Updates

EasyCC checks for updates in the background. When one's ready, you'll see a small banner inviting you to install it. Updates are signed and verified — you don't have to do anything to keep EasyCC current.

If your IT department manages your machine, they may control which updates land. See the admin guide on updates for the details.
